It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the
Line-of-Duty Death of Captain John “Winky” C. Winkelman, a Charter Member of IAFF Local 4106 – Huntley, IL. Captain Winkelman, 54 died from injuries he sustained from an on-duty motor vehicle accident. Captain Winkelman was promoted from Local 4106 as a member of good standing and continued to support our Local’s endeavors. He was a loved and respected leader that will be missed by all who knew him.
The visitation will take place on:
Tuesday April 17th, 2012 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at:

A fire department walk through will take place at 7:00 pm.
Line up will begin at 6:30 pm in the southwest parking lot.
The Funeral Service will take place on:
Wednesday April 18th, 2012 at 11:00 am
St. John’s Lutheran Church
6812 Main St.
Union, IL 60180
Visitation at St. John’s will be held from 10:00 am to
11:00 am. Line up will be at 10:30 am.
Procession to Marengo City cemetery will follow immediately after
Funeral Service.
